I was so honored that Kauai’s own big wave surfer @evanvaliere (whose father is an incredible artist) & style queen @Britt trusted me to create coordinating logos for their two businesses, @hanaleicharters & @hanaleisurfschool . (Daughter Jaya had the final say, of course!)

As Trim Shop's designer, I get to illustrate and design original work for Trim's own T-shirts and posters, as well as create any graphic design we need, from event flyers to web content. We are lucky to have such a great following on instagram to facilitate sharing all the creativity that emerges from our little shop!
The logo concept was designed by me and executed by my partner, Ryan Lovelace.
We're always expanding to incorporate my fabric print designs into surfboards, and always changing up the design of the space.
Shown here is the first Trim Poster called Agave Dreams. It's 100% hand illustrated in pen, then separated into 3 different color ways for shirts and posters available in store, and online soon.

8ft 3-day Chalk Mural at Santa Barbara Mission

Psychedelic Honey made it's first presence in the community of Santa Barbara at the California Queen Mission as a mural sponsor at the 2015 iMadonnari Annual Chalk Painting Festival benefitting the Children’s Creative Project.
This was my 10th mural at the gorgeous Santa Barbara Mission & as always a favorite event of the year. 
No artist is paid. Alldonate hundreds of dollars. And each one of us are down on our hands and knees for 3 straight days. The result is a giant tapestry of 150 murals at the foot of the Queen Mission- that will all wash away within days. 
For Psychedelic Honey, I created an original 7x7ft mural on the spot. I start with a gritty collage, sketch out the piece without tracing or projection, and choose my color palette as I go. These are all rare practices at this usually traditional event. 
What brings me back is the physical nature of the event. Holding precarious positions above the hot pavement all Memorial Day weekend, your headphones in blasting out the thousands of spectators, and you can’t stop hustling despite the heat, the aches, sunburns, the visitor’s or presses questions, or your own frustration in working with chalk. Because once you stand up, you realize there are hundreds of other artists still drawing through the pain or excuses, so many of them are so much better than you, and you all must be finished Monday.

It was a joy to be given free rein to create this logo & branding for Made by B, a jewelry brand by a UCSB student named Isabella. 

Isabella told me the coastal clean vibe she wanted & the idea for a plumeria logo inspired by her Grandmother’s plumeria farm in Hawaii. 

I hand drew 2 logo variations, gave her color options, paired with fonts & example copywriting, & made her branding inspired by aloha shirt prints for her to use with text, for postcards, etc. 

I then digitized the logo & branding into various files types for her to easily use.

Window Displays are a secret passion of mine. I love to design unique and captivating physical displays that are cohesive with the brand’s feel and elements. Then the best part is getting to craft and construct them with my hands! 

For my boyfriend’s Trim Surf Shop, I designed the logo and striping element to define the store’s interior. Ryan then executed both with precision thanks to his fine surfboard crafting and pin lining expertise!
I designed, created the CAD files, and hand stained the wooden stripes for the window displays to be able to interactively showcase various surfboards. I then hung bubble like orbs of various shapes and planted miniature gardens of cactus, succulents, orchids, airplants, and crystals to go with our retro 70’s feel, and copious amounts of plants, throughout the shop.
I sketched out the feel and elements for the shop, designed the wooden community table and benches, which Ryan then built, and we salvaged old tiles and tiled them by hand. Together we took from our own vintage furniture and decor, and I shopped for any other flea market necessities and inexpensive yet gorgeous rugs- they can be found! Then we gathered my own and our friend’s art for the walls. Together we picked from our favorite inspiring vintage books to fill the store with, and I stocked the shop with my own art products, and the best turkish towels, organic sunscreen, timeless coconut oil, and local Sun Potion herbs:)

I was so lucky to work with the amazing jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche on these 12 Zodiac Babes. From the initial illustration commission upon researching all the zodiac signs and Jacquie’s hot muses, to decking the ladies out in photoshop with circular background prints and color palettes I specifically design to unite their air, earth, water, and fire elements, to digitally printing them on natural tote bags as keepsakes for her high profile clientele - like Rhianna (Squeal!!!)

Original Motion Graphics designs and script for an animation concept campaigning the importance of eating locally grown produce.

As a farmer's market regular, I furthered my belief in the health, community, and economic impact of supporting local agriculture while taking a social studies class on community gardening at Otis College of Art and Design in 2011. I wrote a thesis paper on the topic, and then developed these motion graphics designs and a one minute script.

The number of problems we face today can seem overwhelming.
